The Thunder unit is a enemy disposable support unit. It will place itself slowly in zones with multiple enemies and blind you if you fail the shot and don't destroy its core with a clean coreshot.

-The Thunder pyramids rotate often, so take your time to shot the core. -If you hit the pyramids and the main body collects energy to blind you, look away to avoid it.
