I'm Manolo Pasamontes, creator of Omega Blade and freelance developer working in AR/VR projects from a long time ago.
Even if my main objective when I started working with videogame engines was to develop my own videogames, profesionally I have been developing them for 3rd parties, creating entertainment AR physical products or applying all this knowledge to the industrial and entertainment world.
After testing some recommended some VR action games I felt they were interesting but they weren't able to fill the feeling I was waiting for. After Oculus Quest was announced I decided to make the kind of action game I really wanted to play and nobody did yet. This is the way I started working on Omega Blade a couple years ago, and have been playing different versions of it with my friends all this time.
When I realized maybe the game development went too far, I decided to start giving it a propper form and started developing a little more in detail the game visuals. Luckily one of my friends decided to support me funding some basic 3d models and music to be included in the game. Also I had the chance to get some artistic opinions from some of my friends who tried their best to keep me from crossing the line between creating something different and creating a visual aberration.
During these years the game took several forms, and after deciding to perform a public release I turned it into a challenges based game so that I can provide very different experiences under a common gameplay system.
After so much work and sleep time poured in Omega Blade, I hope players will be able to feel the love placed in it.
